Design of Robust Fopi-Fopd Controller for Maglev System Using Particle Swarm Optimization

Magnetic Levitation System (MLS) is one of the benchmark laboratories models for designing and testing feedback control systems in presence parametric uncertainties disturbances effect. Therefore, MLS can be regarded as a tool to study verify certain robust controller design. In this paper, two types powerful schemes are presented MLS. The first PI-PD controller, while other fractional order FOPI-FOPD which provides extra degrees freedom system. both design procedures, Particle Swarm Optimization (PSO) algorithm used find best values parameters subject time-domain objective function H∞ constraints. All modeling processes including parameterization, optimization, validation controllers performed using MATLAB. simulation results show that with faster more stable than classical PI-PD. Also, proposed gives far superior disturbance rejection.
